Privacy Policy
Last updated October 3, 2026
DadProof helps a parent keep a dated record of time with their child, child-related expenses and visitation mileage. This policy explains what the app collects, why, who else sees it, and how to delete it.
What we collect
- Your account: your email address and the name you enter.
- Your household: your children's names and dates of birth, the other parent's name, and, if you add them, a case number, court, and the two home addresses.
- Your record of days: the dates and times you log, what happened, and any notes.
- Photos you choose: the photos you pick from your library, with the date and place your camera saved in them. The app never reads photos you have not chosen.
- Receipts and documents: the files you upload and the details read from them (store, date, amount, items).
- Expenses and reimbursements you enter.
- Mileage and location: trip times, distances and end points. Location is read only while you are tracking a drive, when you mark a place, or, if you turn on automatic logging, while the app is open or running in the background. When it runs in the background on Android a notification says so.
How we use it
Only to run the app for you: keeping your record, reading receipts you ask it to scan, working out mileage and reimbursements, and preparing documents you export or share. We do not use your record for advertising and we do not sell it.
Who else handles it
These companies process data on our behalf, only as needed to provide the app:
- Supabase stores your account, your record and your files.
- Google (Gemini) reads a receipt or statement when you scan one. The image and the child's first name and age are sent for that one request.
- Google Maps measures driving distance between addresses, when you use that feature.
- Cloudflare hosts this website and the law-firm portal.
- Apple and Google process payments if you subscribe.
Sharing with a law firm
A law firm sees your record only if you enter the invite code it gave you. From then on the firm's staff can view your record so they can work on your case. You can withdraw that access at any time. A firm cannot change the amounts, dates or details you recorded.
If a firm has already prepared and sealed an exhibit from your record, the firm keeps its copy of that exhibit even if you later withdraw access or delete your account.
How it is protected
Data travels over an encrypted connection and is stored encrypted by our database host. Access is limited so that only you, and a firm you have given access to, can read your record. Your record is not end-to-end encrypted.
Keeping and deleting your data
We keep your record while your account exists. You can delete your account in the app under Settings, then Delete account. That permanently deletes your login and everything you recorded, apart from any exhibit a firm has already sealed. Deleted data may remain in our host's backups for a short period before it is overwritten. See how to delete your account.
Children
DadProof is for parents. It holds information about children for custody purposes but is not directed at children, and children should not use it.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, including California, you may have the right to know what we hold about you, to get a copy, to correct it and to delete it. You can do most of this in the app; for anything else, contact us.
Changes and contact
If we change this policy we will update the date above and, for significant changes, tell you in the app. Questions: support@getdadproof.com.
